Alfredo Sauce Recipe Ingredients:

  • 1 lb of spiral, multi-color pasta
  • 1 stick of butter
  • 1 cup of heavy cream
  • 1 cup of freshly grated parmigiano
  • cup of olive oil
  • 2 cloves of garlic
  • 1 15oz can of San Marazano canned tomatoes
  • 5 chopped basil leaves
  • Pinch of Salt

Alfredo Sauce Recipe Preparation:

Make the marinara sauce recipe and if you are like me I make a ton of it and jar it in air tight jars to keep for my other Italian pasta recipes. You'll need about 2 cups of the marinara sauce.

Now is a good time to begin cooking your pasta because the Alfredo sauce doesn't take long to make.

Then begin your Alfredo sauce recipe by heating the butter slowly on a medium low heat, so the butter doesn't bubble. Whisk in the cream.

When the pasta is cooked al dente, drain and set aside.

Now remove the cream mixture from the heat and add the parmigiano. Slowly add the fresh marinara sauce and stir.

When the sauce is completely blended pour this gorgeous Tomato Alfredo sauce over the pasta and mix together until the pasta is completely coated.

Taste the sweet and creamy blend of flavors.
