Giada De Laurentis is one of my absolute favorite chefs. She is such a sweet lady and her crazy Zia Raffe is hilarious, but her cooking is five star Italian.
I remember the first time I saw her on Foodnetwork. I thought her style was very authentic although she does keep her Italian pasta recipes on the low fat side she certainly knows her stuff.
I glue myself to the tube when she's doing her thing. She's not only so easy to watch and so casual she's also from Rome and where her traditional cooking emanates.
But this girl was born into a family of talent, being the grand daughter to Dino De Laurentiis, the famous producer. She herself is an Emmy award winner for her cooking show. So you see, she isn't just a pretty face. She's got talent in and out of the kitchen.
Her Italian cook books include the first and most popular EVERYDAY ITALIAN, named after the day time show. This Italian cookbook is full of her favorite recipes from the show and there are tons of amazing Italian Pasta recipes in this incredible collection.
Giada's Family Dinners is another masterpiece full of creative recipes and fun stories about her family and the food they shared. This Italian cook book landed her the #1 on the New York Times best seller list and it's a must have for your Giada collection.
Of course my favorite is her cook book on Italian pasta recipes appropriately named Everyday Pasta!
Then evolved Giada's Kitchen which reached the New York Times #2 spot but she didn't stop there.
Giada De Laurentis just released her latest Giada At Home Cookbook that you're probably more likely to find at Barnes and Noble. I'm guilty of not owning this piece yet but I'm excited to get it. I just can't wait to try her latest Italian pasta recipes.
Giada started her culinary career in Le Cordon Bleu in Paris and on to begin her training as a chef at the prestigious Los Angeles Ritz Carlton Fine Dining Room. Graduating to work at Beverly Hills hotspot (and has been for over 30 years) Wolfgang Puck's "Spago".
So although she came from a family of film this Chefette has paid her dues. She's warmed the hearts of Italian food lovers across the Nation. Now she's developed her own line of cook ware which you'll find all over Target as well as her line of pasta products to include pasta and pasta sauce.
Although I do love Giada De Laurentis there are many more Italian cook books that I love just as much right here on this site!
