Toast Birmingham Mac and Cheese. A meal to remember if only I didn't drink that third margarita!

Toast is a fun and eclectic place to dine in the elegant Birmingham area of Michigan. This place is best known for it's breakfast menu boasting unique items such as Grand Marnier French Toast or Bar Harbor Omelet that includes pan seared scallops and smoked bacon.

Don't plan on hitting the triathlon after this morning feeding frenzy. Oh but well worth every sluggish calorie.

I was there for an early dinner (that's what I like to call happy hours). While there I was quickly coerced into a blueberry margarita. It didn't take much convincing as the bartender, Heather explained, they use frozen, whole blueberries to float in the margarita. Typically served on the rocks.

It was delicate in taste but let me tell you, two will get you going!

Then I ordered the baked mac and cheese. They used goat cheese to create the creamy and then coat it with crumbed smoked gouda. OMG! If it didn't taste so right, it would be wrong.

The baked pasta dish was cooked to perfection. Not to soft and not to hard. The creamy texture was rich and full flavored as only any respectable Goat cheese would allow. A Mac and Cheese recipe to go down in the history books.

This was the only pasta item on the menu but being a little partial to pasta.

I had to have it and I was very pleased. Nice job Toast. I look forward to my next visit to Birmingham for the Mac and Cheese and for the margaritas! Maybe I can talk you into giving me the restaurant recipe for that great dish.
