Cento Is My First Choice And Sometimes Sometimes I Mix It With A Can Of Sclafani

Cento canned tomatoes are my first choice and sometimes I mix it with a can of Sclafani canned tomatoes.

I want to try Alta Cucina because I hear it is the best but I can't find them anywhere except on INE and it's too expensive to try without knowing if it's good.

Scalafani Hand Picked Tomatoes
by: pat

I have now found Scalafani HAND PICKED San Marzano tomatoes and use 2 of those to 2 Cento's and I am pretty happy with the taste now! Hand Picked Scalafani's are from 5 to 8 dollars a can..but worth it. And I have seen sales recently for $2. Don't go looking, I bought them out!

Alta Cucina
by: Anonymous

Alta Cucina are excellent California tomatoes but I don't think they pack a retail can, only #10 institutional size. The packer is Stanislaus. I buy another one of their products "Tomato Magic" which is a crushed tomato. I buy by the case which contains six #10 cans (about 100 oz per can) for a little over twenty dollars a case at Restaurant Depot. I used to get them from a local Italian restaurant chef who ordered them for me from one of his suppliers.
