Ancini De Pepe means pepper corns and are little pasta shapes you'll probably find in an Italian soup such as Italian wedding soup.

Bucatini is as long as a spaghetti but thicker and it's hollow in the center. Great with a thick or robust pasta sauce recipe.

Of all the different types of pasta Cannolocchi is the most unusual looking. It looks like short tube with a wide grooved surface. Be careful not to over cook. It will loose it's shape.

Cavatappi looks like a cork screw but hollow in the center. Do you know how you tend to stick to your favorite types of pasta? Well this is one of mine. I love it with my favorite chicken and pasta recipes.

Corzetti Pasta is shaped like a coin and stamped. These pasta types come in a variety of stamped images on the pasta itself. When you cook them they expand out to a wide flat disk. Great with your favorite pesto recipe.

Ditalini, little bite sized tubular pasta that is almost always used in Italian soup recipes. Such as Pasta Fagioli and Minestrone Soup.

Elbow pasta, we all know and love this one. Although Macaroni and cheese is not really an Italian recipe, it's a old time favorite comfort food. Try it with White cheese not yellow and maybe a drizzle of truffle oil. Luxuriously decadent.

Farfalle or butterfly pasta also know as bowtie pasta is the perfect type of pasta to serve with a pesto recipe or use it in a pasta salad recipe.

Farfellini is an itsy bitsy Farfelle. A miniature bowtie pasta that I would best recommend as a soup pasta then anything.

Fettuccine everybody knows. The traditional pasta shape used for the famous Alfredo Sauce Recipe. Look for the story behind this Italian pasta recipe in the history of pasta.

Fideo pasta are little strings. So many types of pasta to choose from when making your Italian soup recipes. Here's another one.
