Pomodoro Sauce The Real Tomato Sauce Recipe Made By Italians

Pomodoro sauce is as basic and Italian as it gets for a tomato sauce recipe. Similar to the marinara sauce recipe but thicker and just as easy to make.

You know those San Marzano tomatoes that I'm always raving about? Well they are a must in this pasta sauce. Check out my canned tomato comparison if your not convinced, these tomatoes are the sweetest and best around.

Use a 13oz can of crushed San Marzano tomatoes. Put them into a blender and blend until smooth.

4 cloves of garlic thinly sliced.
Olive Oil, coat the pan.
4 basil leaves coarsely chopped.
Salt to taste.

Saute the garlic in the pan at medium heat until tender.
Now add the blended San Marzano tomatoes and simmer for about 20 minutes.

When finished add the fresh basil.

Now just add pasta, parmigiano and a glass of wine and call it DINNER!
